Abstract

Quality management through continuous improvement is a critical organizational attribute for sustaining  and enhancing performance. This study investigates the contributing factors of Total Quality Management  (TQM) on employee performance within the Saudi Arabian water industry. Five independent variables  were examined: employee involvement, employee training, continuous improvement, participative goal  setting, and common improvement methods. The dependent variable was employee performance. A  quantitative research design was adopted, and data were collected via a structured questionnaire  administered to 106 employees. Statistical analysis was conducted using SPSS, employing Pearson  correlation and multiple linear regression. Results indicated that only continuous improvement  significantly predicted employee performance (β = 0.52, p < .001), while the remaining variables did not  reach statistical significance. These findings suggest that organizations should prioritize initiatives  promoting continuous improvement to enhance employee performance. Implications for management  practice and directions for future research are discussed.
